Abby is out of our 2005 Jack and Katie litter.  Her owner decided she no longer wanted a puppy and returned her to us. Although we tried to place her, Abby had different plans and she never left her real home again.  She is a bright, an extremely happy girl and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.

When Abby was six months old she was trained and shown by her thirteen year old co-owner, Saxon Marvin. She received her CH title in September of 2007 at the Evergreen Kennel Club shows taking a four and then a three point major that weekend. The majority of her conformation points were earned out of the six to nine/nine to twelve month puppy class. At the 2006 American Chesapeake Clubs National Specialty show in Ohio, she placed a respectable third in the Sweepstakes and a second in the nine to twelve month classes. At the 2007 American Chesapeake Clubs National Specialty show in Colorado Springs, she won the American Bred class and went on to help Saxon win Best Junior Handler. In November of 2007 she received her first group placement at the Sporting Dog Club of New Mexico show. In 2009 with limited showing Abby earned multliple group placements and ranked 9th in breed points.

In 2009 Saxon and her family moved to Australia and Abby spent the year with a professional handler since I was unable to take time off from work to travel. With limited showing she received multiple group placements and ended the year placing 9^th overall in breed points that year.

Abby received her CGC and TDI titles at the 2010 ACC NSS which has opened another door for her…therapy dog work.
